This refers to the personal data that you knowingly choose to disclose, which data are collected on an individual basis at the time of you registering as our Online Gold Flag Volunteer or making online donations. Such information may include but is not limited to your:

Email address;

Correspondence address;

Telephone number;

e-Wallet, credit card or bank account information


Use of Personal Data

BBHK and its service providers may use your contact information (name, telephone, email and address) for the purposes of communications, Campaign administration, receipt issuance, volunteer recruitment, and postage or delivery purposes in relation to the Campaign only. The personal data collected will be stored in secured internal system and treated with strict confidentiality. Such data will be deleted 90 days after the completion of the Campaign. 

 

Security

When you register or make a donation through the Website, the transmission of your personal data over the Internet will be securely encrypted with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.
Your e-Wallet or credit card information will not be stored by BBHK, but you will be redirected to connect directly to the online payment gateway for the purpose of processing donation payment. 


Protection of Personal Data

BBHK is committed to safeguarding your personal data in respect of their collection, use, retention security, transfer and access. Personal data are collected by lawful and fair means and only used for lawful purposes directly related to the fundraising initiatives of BBHK. We take all reasonably practical steps to ensure that personal data collected and retained are accurate and protected against unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure or other use. We limit the use of and access to your personal data to our designated employees, authorized agents and processors who are instructed to handle your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


Rights of Access

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486, Laws of the HKSAR), you have the right of access and correction with respect to your personal data. Request for personal data access and correction should be made to BBHK in writing. In addition, if you do not wish to receive any communication relating to any event concerning BBHK or this Website, please send your request by post to The Boys’ Brigade, Hong Kong at G/F., Block A, Lok Man Sun Chuen, Tokwawan, Kowloon, Hong Kong; or by email us to us at pr@bbhk.org.hk. 

 

This Privacy Policy is prepared in both English and Chinese. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the Chinese version and the English version, the English shall be the governing and prevailing version.
